About Faculty

I am working as a Physics Teacher in the department of Physics of this university since July 2012. I have passed both B.Sc and M.Sc in Physics from Gauhati University and then joined as a Junior Research Fellow in Centre of Plasma Physics-Institute for Plasma Research.(Erstwhile CPP) for a Ph.D in experimental Plasma Physics. After submitting my PhD thesis,I worked as a Post doctorate Fellow in the same institute and then joined as a Scientist-SC in ITER-India,IPR (a GoI Research Institute in Gandhinagar,Gujarat), I was involved in the Indian Negative Ion Source and Technology development programme for use in Fusion Research and also involved in Indian R & D programme for its commitment towards the International Thermo-Nuclear Reactor, under construction in France.I worked there for nearly 3 years and then joined as a Assistant Professor in this University.(erstwhile College). I was also involved in Plasma Based Materials Processing works/experiments and capable of using different diagnostics in laboratory plasmas. Since then I am involved in plasma based activities in collaboration with different institutes and published international papers and attendde seminars/conferences.
